Undergraduate Programs

The three-year undergraduate program is divided into six semesters. Each semester consists of a minimum of 90 working days (inclusive of examinations) distributed over 18 five-day academic weeks. The duration of the odd semesters will be from June to October and even semesters, from December to April. The structure of the semester courses is as follows:
Common course: Common courses include compulsory courses in English, additional Languages and general courses. Irrespective of the subject of specialization, the compulsory courses opted are common to all programmes
Core courses: Methodology courses, Courses on the subject of specialization, one elective and one project are compulsory for all students pursuing a particular programme.
Complementary courses: Courses that complement the study of the subject of specialization are compulsory for all students doing a particular programme.
Open course: All courses other than the courses in the area of specialization of the student can be included as an open course. The choice of open courses is based on the preference of students and availability of teachers.

UGC Sponsored Programs

Department of Vocation

The department of Vocation offers two UG courses, B.Voc Information Technology and Travel, Tourism and Logistics Management. The programme is affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam and is approved by UGC. The department is equipped with an expert team of well qualified, experienced and committed faculty members. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched a scheme on skills development based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Degree with multiple exits such as Diploma/Advanced Diploma under the NSQF. The programme focus on undergraduate studies that incorporate specific job roles and their NOS(National Occupational Standards). The focus of skill development components is to equip students with appropriate knowledge, practice and attitude to become work ready.
