A unit of UNAI, named ‘UNAI CMS-ASPIRE’ was inaugurated by Mr. Saji Charuvil Thomas (UN Representative, New York) on the 16th of January 2018 at the College Seminar Hall. Mr. Thomas brought out an elaborate exploration into the general underpinnings and policies of UN. The college principal, Mr. Roy Sam Daniel was presented a copy of the coveted ‘UN Charter’ alongside various other UN Policy posters. Post the official inaugural session, the floor was opened for a general Q&A time with Mr. Thomas.

The UN Day was celebrated at the college. The resource person Shri T. P. Sreenivasan (Head of the council for Higher Education for the state of Kerala and an eminent former diplomat) vocalized with prudent fluidity the impact United Nations has had through its Hepta decade existence on the globe, perforating the minds of the students with insight of the burning issues that are addressed with such a conglomerative body. He gave flight to the ideas of UN and urged the young buds to elevate their thoughts.

A chat with the ‘ differently enabled communicators’ by Mr. Anil Kumar, (Director, Jyothis Special School, KTM) Dr. Roy Sam Daniel (Principal, CMS College Kottayam). An interactive session was organized by the members of UNAI CMS-ASPIRE unit for the students of Jyothis Special School, Kottayam. Twenty autistic minds came to CMS accompanied by their parents and the school staff. A day out for these little buds brought about a change in them and our students.
