Observance of World Soil Day

The Department of Biotechnology observed World Soil Day on 7th December, 2023. The program included seminars and other events and held at Rev. Joseph Fenn Hall from 10-4pm.The program started with the inaugural session presided by Dr. Varghese C Joshua Principal CMS College. Dr.Ambily K K, Senior scientist at Rubber Research Institute of India provided a lecture on Chemistry of Soil Analysis . Dr. Smitha S, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology explained “The Art of Kokodama” and gave a demonstration of the same. Students of the Department  narrated  seed ball making  and also conducted an interdepartmental crossword puzzle competition.
