The department conducted three days UGC sponsored National seminar on “Rethinking of Colonial and Missionary Interventions in the Making of Modern Kerala” from 9-11 March 2016.The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Michael Tharakan,, Former VC & former Director,KCHR..Dr.Sanal Mohan (Director KCHR,) Dr. Rajesh Komath(Director, School of Social Science),Prof.Joseph G Muthuraj (UTC Bangalore) and Dr.KKN Kurup (former VC Calicut University) were the chief resource persons of the seminar.
