USHUS

USHUS is the fellowship of lady teachers which provides a common forum for lady teachers to share their joys and sorrows with each other. It aims at promoting a sense of unity and oneness among the lady teachers of the College, former and present. Regular meetings of USHUS take place every month and are lively occasions where lady teachers meet to discuss various subjects like book reviews, thesis presentations, cooking classes, handicrafts, exhibitions and the art of living. Onam and Christmas are celebrated in all traditional gaiety. The end of the year get together is an occasion for the former and the present teachers to come together and renew ties of affection. The yearly picnics and excursions serve to further strengthen the ties of friendship among the members. A Committee of representatives from each department chalks out the programmes of the USHUS which include a social outreach to the economically backward classes of people living in and around the College. Scholarships for deserving girl students from different disciplines are also given by USHUS. The present President of USHUS is Dr. Santhini Thomas, Department of Malayalam and the Secretaries are Jisha Mary Mathew, Department of commerce and Ashalakshmi C.N, Department of Biotechnology.
