Sociology Department Achievements

Sociology Department takes great pride in its numerous achievements, reflecting a commitment to academic excellence, and contributions to the broader sociological community. Through the dedicated efforts of facultyand students, we have established a legacy of success that underscores our position as a leading department in the field of sociology.  The department won the second place for best Department Award at PG level organised by Kerala Sociological Society twice.  Two of our faculty members Dr. Johnson M M and Dr. Amrutha Rinu Abraham secured Best NSS programme Officer Award in M G University. The students of the Department are forerunners in clearing UGC -NET and JRF Exam.  Dr. Sibin Mathew Medayil is appointed as social scientist in the expert committee of social impact assessment, Government of Kerala, Kottayam District. Femiya Rose A F of I MA Sociology won gold medal in National level wrestling Championship.
